Hi, I'm Lindsay

Nice to meet you! From the moment I picked up a guitar over 20 years ago, I was hooked.

Since then, I've been lucky to play with some incredible musicians, talented bands, and work in the music industry at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.

What's your experience?

I've given informal guitar tuition to many family and friends over the years, and Surfside will be my first more structured guitar teaching, which I'm excited about! As well as a Bachelor's Degree from UNSW, I hold Music Industry qualifications from TAFE, and achieved Band 6 in Music II and Music Extension in the HSC.
Where are you located?

Surfside Studio is located in the backyard of my home in Empire Bay on the NSW Central Coast.
How much do lessons cost?

I charge $60 per hour or $40 per half-hour for guitar lessons.
What genres and guitar styles do you teach?

I enjoy playing and teaching many different genres of guitar! I was trained in jazz many years ago and my personal specialty is blues guitar.
Do you teach acoustic or electric guitar?

Both! I love playing and teaching acoustic and electric guitar styles, including everything from rhythm to lead, fingerpicking to strumming, and even slide and lap-steel guitar.
I don't have a guitar - do you have one I can use?

No guitar? No worries! I have a range of acoustic and electric guitars in all sizes, which you're welcome to use during your lessons.
Do you have a Working With Children Check (WWCC)?

In progress! I applied for the check in March 2025 and will have the completed WWCC within four weeks.
